Effective August 15, 2026 · Plain-English version 1

Blue Collar AI runs office operations — calls, scheduling, estimates, invoices, reviews, and websites — for trades businesses. Doing that means handling data. This page explains what we collect, why, and who touches it. No legal maze, no surprises.

1. What we collect

  • Account information — your name, email, and business details (business name, phone, address, hours, services).
  • Business records you create — customers, jobs, appointments, estimates, invoices, photos, and notes you put into the app.
  • Calls and messages — calls answered by the AI assistant may be recorded and transcribed so the details (caller, job, address, callback number) land in your account; text messages sent and received through the service are stored with the records they belong to.
  • Website activity — contact-form leads, booking requests, and job applications submitted through a website we host for your business.
  • Usage and log data — basic technical logs that help us keep the service running and secure.

2. How we use it

Only to run the service: answer and route your calls, schedule work, build estimates and invoices, send the messages you've set up (like review requests and payment reminders), show everything in your account, and keep the system secure. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who handles data with us

We build on a small set of established providers, each handling the slice of data their job requires:

  • Stripe — payment processing and payouts. Card numbers go to Stripe, not to us.
  • Twilio — phone calls and text messages.
  • Google — sign-in, calendar sync, and business-profile features, when you connect them.
  • Supabase — account authentication.
  • AI providers — the voice and language-model services that power the AI assistant process call audio and text to do their job.
  • Cloud hosting — our application and websites run on cloud infrastructure providers (currently Cloudflare and Railway).

4. If you're a customer of a business that uses us

When you call, text, or submit a form to a trades business that runs on Blue Collar AI, the details you share go into that business's account — they're the ones you're dealing with, and their records belong to them. Questions about your information should go to that business directly.

5. Text messages

Businesses on our platform use text messages for things like appointment confirmations, invoices, and review requests. Message frequency varies and message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of future texts from that business, or HELP for help.

6. How long we keep data

For as long as your account is active, so your business history stays available to you. When your account closes — or on request through the app — we delete your business data, except what we're legally required to keep (like payment records).

7. Security

Data moves over encrypted connections, access is restricted to what each part of the system needs, and payment details are handled by Stripe rather than stored by us. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your business records like they run your livelihood — because they do.

8. Children

The service is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
